From Ray Hammond. I have just completed the restoration of a 1951 Thornycroft Sturdy Star which was supplied new to Spillers Ltd. Unfortunatly, I have never seen a photograph of these vehicles in service with Spillers. Is there anybody out there who may have any photo's for copy? It would be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks. From Derek Turner. Any info or photos on Annis Transport of Hayes, Middlesex in the 1960s ( now closed down). Many years ago we had 2 ERF tractor units with Annis home made !! black oval tanks with around 4,000 galls capacity on contract to Shell & BP at Cakemore Depot. From Kevin East. I remember a couple of years ago seeing an Beaver tail car transporter in the Landrover livery complete with 4 or 5 Series 1Landrovers. Does any member know if a model of the transporter is available? I have made many enquieries and seem to think that the transporter was a special and only a few were made, look forward to any help offered.

From Clive Greedus. As one of several London scenes from the 50s/60s, I am making a model diorama consisting of Highgate Trolleybus depot and the nearby BRS depot at Tufnel Park. At present I have no pictures of the latter to work from and would dearly love to see even some glimpses of buildings to give me something to work from. The site today is occupied by BT and an industrial estate, and my memories of spotting as a teenager are more about vehicles than bricks and mortar. If anyone can help with this or indeed with other BRS group depots in the London area I will be most grateful.
